Introduction to Maple
(PDF,
Maple Classical Worksheet
(MWS file) )
Exercises in Classical Worksheet format:
Lab1XYZ.mws
Partially filled out sample exercises only:
Lab1PDM.pdf
Lab Assignment 1 is due in the form of a hardcopy lab report
by the end of lab Wednesday, 13 February 2008.
Content:
For each exercise, prepare a mathematically correct solution
by using suitable commands in Maple with the
Maple Classical Interface.
Organization:
Examine how the Maple Classical Worksheet
Introduction to Maple was prepared
as a model for the written explanations in your lab report.
Also look at the SOLUTIONS to the EXAMPLES in the textbook
for what to write and how much to write in your lab report.
Choose "wordier" solutions,
not those that just consist of a series of equations
unrelieved with any explanatory text.
Include enough information
(that is, sentences written in proper English)
in your report so that a fellow calculus student
would be able to understand what you did
and agree with your conclusions.
Format:
Include your name and lecture section (149 001 149 002)
in your Maple Classical Worksheet laboratory report file.
Include the statements of each exercise.
Include your Maple commands and your text describing your investigation
and your conclusions.
See the sample partially filled out exercises PDF file provided above.
