This is a great way to get a feeling for what it's like to work in sports
analytics. Also it should appeal more generally, as an example of applying
Data Science to the real world. The speakers this year look really good.
You can make a weekend of it, as it's a 5 hour drive - maybe get a group
together and carpool?

Hi all! I think I sent this out a while back but I wanted to do so again.
I’m hosting the third version of my Midwest Sports Analytics Meeting at

aficionados! I’m hoping you’ll help me spread the word to encourage a)
registration for the event, and b) proposals for talks/posters for the

Here are a few useful links I hope you’ll pass along:

2018 should be another exciting, dynamic event! We’re happy to welcome
Davidson College’s Tim Chartier (guru of March Mathness!) and Houston
Texans’ football analytics coordinator Weller Ross as our keynote speakers,
along with a program of concurrent morning and afternoon sessions of talks.
We’ll also have our lunchtime student poster session, so there should be
many options of sports analytics topics to see on the day.*

Thanks for any help you can offer in supporting my event!
