Greetings!

I am reaching out to let you know that we are inviting students with a
background in technology and design to apply for the *Clinton
Foundation Codeathon*, and would love to see students from IIT represented.

This two-day coding challenge will take place from Thursday, October 18 –
Friday, October 19 at the CGI U 2018 meeting hosted by President Bill
Clinton and Chelsea Clinton at the University of Chicago. This year,
students will be asked to develop unique digital prototypes and tools that
can increase the effectiveness of response and recovery efforts following
natural disasters. Undergraduate and graduate students can apply at
cgiu.org/codeathon by Friday, August 17.

If you know any students that might be interested in this exciting
opportunity, we are hopeful you can share this with your networks. Attached
you will find an event flyer, and you can also spread the word about
the Codeathon with the help of our social media toolkit
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oAVWHXLfkDnWUyHDt1coQVxlEDuAbeLx_bvT_zzlqio/edit?usp=sharing>
.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or my
colleague Megan Strawther <megan.strawther at clintonglobalinitiative.org>,
who is managing the Codeathon. We hope to see your students there!

All the best,
Kelly
