This past spring Aaron Luttman visited us to give a talk, from the Nevada
National Security Site, a research facility for the U.S. Department of
Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration. They have internships
for Summer 2018. To be eligible you need to be a US citizen, have a
reasonably high GPA in math courses, and typically (but not necessarily)
you'd be in your third year of college.

If you are interested, send the following to Luttman, Aaron <
LuttmaAB at nv.doe.gov>:

   - A resume;
   - A short narrative of your background and technical interests, which
   does not have to be tailored to this position.

(And please let me know if you apply.)

Best wishes,

Michael J. Pelsmajer, Associate Professor
Associate Chair for Applied Mathematics
Director of Undergraduate Studies for Applied Math
