> Hi, professors.
> Hope you all enjoyed the break!
> I'm Chang Xu, a physics major sophomore here and I am on board of the CAURS(Chicago Area Undergraduate Research Symposium). Can you forward this email to all the students in the college of science(every departments) to spread the information as a reminder? The application deadline is on March 31st, which is right away. I'd really appreciate it.
> here is an introduction of CAURS:
> -CAURS is an intercollegiate, interdisciplinary research symposium that takes place annually on a designated weekend in April. This year, we hope to host the 2017 annual symposium at Roosevelt University on April 29.
> -We host students primarily from six institutions: University of Chicago, Northwestern University, DePaul University, Loyola University, University of Illinois
> at Chicago, and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Furthermore, we invite judges from the disciplines of Social Sciences to Mathematics to the Sciences to judge their research projects. We pride ourselves on being a primarily student-run organization, and we typically have over 200 students and 100 judges from these institutions who participate in this event. The top student research projects are awarded with certificates for their achievement.
> If anyone is interested, please go to caurs.com <http://caurs.com/> and follow the instructions to register for either participant or volunteer.
> Once again, the deadline for applying for participant is March 31st, it might get extended a day or two, but don't expect too much.
> If any of you are doing research and have some achievement, please sign up and go for it. Its a great chance to show your work, or even to just practice talking about your research, and if you win a prize it is really something you can put on your resume.
> Anyways, good luck with it! and please spread the information with your friends!
