This is a very popular conference for female students. If you’re interested
you need to act quickly (they say so below, but I also know from students
who have tried this in the past).

Dear Faculty Advisor for a past NCUWM student,

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Mathematics would like to
be sure you know that registration for the 2015 Nebraska Conference for
Undergraduate Women in Mathematics opens online at approximately 10 a.m.
Central time on Wednesday, Oct. 1, for presenters and then Oct. 6 for
non-presenters. Registration fills up quickly so interested students should
be encouraged to sign up early.

Registration will be open at:

We ask for your help in making undergraduate women in mathematics at your
institution aware of the 17th Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate
Women in Mathematics. At NCUWM, undergraduate women in the mathematical
sciences meet other women with similar interests and share their research
experiences. It would be a great help to us if you will print and post the
attached poster in your department. The conference is January 23-25, 2015,
hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and held at the Embassy Suites
in downtown Lincoln. It brings together outstanding undergraduate female
mathematicians from across the country and is open to undergraduate female
mathematicians at all stages of their careers. Those who have already done
research will be given an opportunity to present their results as either a
talk or a poster. Indeed, the main program of the conference is
presentations by undergraduate women on their own research. Two leading
mathematicians, Dr. Maria Klawe and Dr. Karen Smith, will give plenary

If you have any questions or would like us to mail you a color copy of the
attached poster, contact our event coordinator at ncuwm at unl.edu. We
appreciate your help in making this opportunity available to students at
your institution.

Thank you,

Christine Kelley
