Hi All,

As I’ve been discussing spring classes with some of you a
question has come up about whether IIT has relaxed the rules regarding the
double-counting of courses that are used to satisfy gen ed or major
requirements also for a minor. The answer to this question is “not yet”.
Thus, the old rule is still in place, i.e., double-counting is NOT allowed.

A faculty committee has started to work on this, and that’s probably how
this rumor got started.

I will let you know of such a rule change if/when it happens.

                Greg Fasshauer
