Subject: HOT LIST OF SPRING 2010 IPRO PROJECTS STILL NEEDING STUDENTS
Importance: High

<<...>>
Hello Colleagues,

In your role as academic advisers, and generally helpful people, I am
pleased to share with you the attached "hot list" of Spring 2010 IPRO
projects that still need students in order to form viable teams. If there
are others who should be aware of this list, please forward it to them.

Descriptions of the projects are available at the IPRO web site landing page
<http://ipro.iit.edu/project-listings> http://ipro.iit.edu/project-listings.
As you can see at this site, we have a total of 42 IPRO sections for spring.

Our current aim is to attract specific disciplines to round out selected
projects and grow these teams. In some cases, there are students already
enrolled from certain majors but we need to diversify further to create a
truly multidisciplinary team. The departments with the disciplines in
greatest need for a project are not only checked but in bold as well. If a
department is not checked, it means that either (a) the IPRO section has
sufficient students from its disciplines or (b) the disciplines are not
germane to the problem to be addressed. (The department-level granularity of
the chart is used to keep it simple, recognizing that there are several
degree programs within some units.)

In some cases, I will need to provide a permit to interested students. I
will update this list periodically and send it to you, and it will be
available at the IPRO web site as well.

If you or your advisees have any questions, please let me know. Thanks for
your help as we approach the start of the new semester and finish shaping
our IPRO teams so that they are set up for success. We do have an extremely
narrow window of opportunity before classes begin once again, so your help
is more critical than ever.

Best Regards,

Tom

Have a great day!
