Subject: Cornell's ORIE Master of Engineering program

Dear Undergraduate Program Directors, Coordinators, and Advisors:

If you are not the primary undergraduate program contact for your
department, please accept my apologies, and please let me know the name (and
email address) of the appropriate person to receive this message.

My name is Kathryn Caggiano, and I direct the Master of Engineering (MEng)
program in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell
University. For over fifty years, the MEng program at Cornell has
maintained a tradition of excellence by recruiting top students from top
universities, and by preparing those students for the professional world
through a carefully crafted balance of fundamental theory and practical
experience.

We recognize the excellence of your undergraduate program, and we think that
Cornell's ORIE MEng program may be a terrific fit for some of your
graduating seniors. To this end, I would be grateful if you would forward
the message below (and the attached flyer) to the seniors in your
department, announcing an online information session that we are holding
next Tuesday evening. We will be more than happy to reciprocate if you have
program materials that you would like to forward to our students at Cornell.

Many thanks,

-- Kathryn Caggiano

=================================================================

To all Seniors:

Thinking about life after graduation? Consider leveraging those analytical
skills and boosting your market value with a Master of Engineering (MEng)
degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) from
Cornell University. The ORIE MEng at Cornell offers a variety of
specializations that are highly sought after in today's quant-savvy job
market, including Financial Engineering, Data Analytics, Applied Operations
Research, Strategic Operations, Information Technology, Systems Engineering,
and Manufacturing.

Most MEng concentrations can be completed in two semesters, although some
require three. Best of all, you do not need to have an engineering degree
to apply. Many students in the ORIE MEng program at Cornell have
undergraduate degrees in fields outside of engineering, including
Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Finance, and Economics.
