Hi. (See the message copied below.)

Hannah went last year and she said that it was great!

If you're thinking about going, please let me know, too. Thanks.

Subject: [NExT] Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics

It's that time of year again, when we start advertising the Nebraska
Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics. In fact, this will be
the tenth one! You can tell your talented women undergraduate students
directly to register for the conference at

http://www.math.unl.edu/~ncuwm

or you can send us their names and email addresses and we'll send them
invitations to the conference. (Or you can do both!) Space is limited
and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please
encourage people to register early.

The conference will be February 8-10, 2008. The bulk of the program will
be talks given by the undergrads on their own research; there will also be
a poster session for students who prefer to present their work that way.
We are celebrating our tenth anniversary by having four distinguished
NCUWM alumnae as plenary speakers, to talk about their careers and
research:
         Katherine Bartley, National Security Agency;
                 NCUWM 2000, 2001; PhD, 2006 (Nebraska)
         Rebecca Caldwell, Axciom Corporation;
                 NCUWM 2003; JD, 2006 (Arkansas)
         Angela Desai, University of Montevallo;
                 NCUWM 2000; PhD, 2006 (Maryland)
         Cornelia Yuen, SUNY Potsdam (a "sun" dot!);
                 NCUWM 2001; PhD, 2006 (Michigan)
We expect to provide lodging (double-occupancy hotel room) and most meals
during the conference for all the participants. We ask that the
participants' home institutions do their best to cover travel costs, but
we do have funds to help there as well. (The conference is co-sponsored
by NSA and NSF.) There's more info on the web at
http://www.math.unl.edu/~ncuwm .

Although the conference is open to any undergraduate woman mathematician
who wishes to register (registration is available online at the above
website), we also like to send out individualized invitations to top women
undergrad math majors around the country. I'm writing to ask you for names
and addresses (email strongly preferred but regular is okay if that's all
you have) of women students you think should get these invitations. (No
justification is necessary; if you think they should come we'll invite
them!) Please send the contact information by email directly to our
conference account (ncuwm at math.unl.edu). If it's easier for you to send
things through regular mail, the address is:

Thanks!
