Wednesday 12:50-1:40 (tomorrow & every week) in E1 119, Problem-solving
Meeting: math contest preparation, & pizza by Tony.  

Thursday 3:15-3:45 (this week & every week) in E1 123, Math Tea.  

This Monday, 9/25: Special Applied Math Colloquium Talk: James Pierce &
Mike McCourt, current Applied Mathematics majors at IIT, will speak
about the research they did this summer.  While there are math talks
every week, I particularly encourage undergraduate students to show up,
to learn something about undergraduate research and to support their
classmates.


Future events:
Oct 4  Special talk by Prof. Norm Lederman about scholarship
opportunities, at Math Club meeting
Oct 6  Deadline to sign up for Putnam Mathematical Competition, which
will be Dec 2, 2006 at IIT
Oct 28 Virginia Tech Regional Math Competition, held locally at IIT
