Please see the attached flyer for this Wednesday's Guest Speaker, Mead
Killion. He earned his MS in math here at IIT under the tutelage of
Karl Menger, and went on to found Etymotic Research, Inc., the
inventors of the ear bud--most often seen attached to an iPod--and
many other audiological devices. Killion will be speaking on "Some
Interesting Applications of Mathematical Reasoning," and will be
discussing how mathematical thinking helped him in his engineering
