Dear All,
  Happy New Year!
  This email  is about the summer school on multivariate splines
and their applications in May, 2009. If you are  interested in or
your students may be interested in, please continue your reading.
  I would like to recruit  graduate students,  post-docs (within 3 years 
of Ph.D.)
and senior undergraduate students to attend the summer school on
multivariate splines and applications. The detail about the summer school
can be found at
  A quick summary is the following:
(1) The Summer school will be open on May 11 till May 22, 2009. Prof. Larry
Schumaker and several other  speakers will lecture on bivariate,  
spherical, and box splines as well as their applications.
(2) If a student is a U.S. citizen, the cost for participation of this
summer school is free. All expenses are paid. Please ask your student
to register as soon as possible. Enrollment is limited.
(3) If a student is  non-U.S. citizen, there exist a limited funding.

(4) Everyone else are welcome to come. If you want to give a talk during
the summer school, please send me an email.
