Mathematicians from around the world came to San Diego January 6 - 9 for
the Joint Meetings of the Mathematical Association of America and the
American Mathematical Society.

MathFest Events for Graduate Students

Plan now to join us on July 31st through August 2nd. These are the dates
of MathFest 2008 in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin.

New Graduate Student Web Pages at MAA Online

The MAA is ramping up its web presence and redoing all of the student
pages. There is now a page devoted to all graduate students (Master's,
Professional Master's, and PhD).



Project NExT Deadline Looms

Project NExT is the MAA's highly successful program for new and recent
PhD's in the mathematical sciences. The program covers all aspect of a
career: teaching, research/scholarship, service, and balancing life
inside and outside academia.



FOCUS on Students

FOCUS is the news magazine of the MAA. It covers a wide range of news and
contains articles on mathematica award winners, interviews with
well-known mathematicians, job ads, and classroom time-savers. Missing
has been something oriented toward the students. That is missing no
longer.

Introducing MAA Math Classifieds

The Mathematical Association of America is proud to announce the creation
of MAA Math Classifieds, a new online job site for math students.
