Dear Colleagues:
Welcome to the Spring series of seminars and colloquia at the Applied
Mathematics Department.
On Feb 11, Monday, our visitor is Igor Aranson, from Argonne National
Laboratory, http://www.msd.anl.gov/groups/sm/personnel/aronson/
He is a world-class scientist and is one of the leading expert in the
nonlinear sciences and dynamical systems. His recent research interests
include order and disorder in biological systems, see

of his talk.
You are very welcome to join us for the lunch on Monday in the faculty
club (let us meet at 12.45 near E1-105), and to talk to Igor some time in
the afternoon (please, contact me if you would like to arrange a meeting).
The colloquium is at 4.40pm in E1-106. Graduate and undergraduate students
are especially encouraged to attend his talk.
