New seminar: Combinatorics Research Group Seminar Target audience: faculty and graduate students interested in current research problems in discrete applied mathematics (DAM) Time and place: Decided at the beginning of each semester. Format: typically whiteboard talks which go into more detail than colloquia or regular seminar talks Purpose: -- To stimulate collaboration on current problems in DAM -- To help graduate students identify a research problem or area -- To present recent research in DAM, or fundamental results important to current research programs We emphasize that we encourage graduate students who think they might be interested in this area to attend regularly. Graduate students who have already decided on DAM should attend regularly and will have the opportunity to give talks on their research.
